Paranormal Drive 2016 Movie – Storyline :

An intense family dispute tragically results in the murder of wife. After dismembering and concealing her body in their car boot, the husband murders his own wife before hiding it from police until his arrest shortly afterward. Meanwhile, Andrey and Olga believe they found an amazing bargain by purchasing a second-hand vehicle they always dreamt of buying; unknowing of what lurks within its walls that will turn their journey into hellish terror!

Let’s preface this analysis by acknowledging that Russia only recently began producing horror movies of their own and in this genre, it can be difficult to bring anything new and original to bear. Do not expect too much out of this road trip movie depicting a dysfunctional family comprised of an unfaithful husband, a suspicious pills-addicted wife, and an iconic BMW car that once contained dismembered body parts of an innocent woman (this latter part is true!). So you get an entire movie filled with ghost visions, dark road speeding, intense conversations, and paranoia among spouses. Overall, I found the first hour amazing while the latter twenty minutes seemed disjointed as to who actually committed all these crimes; still highly recommended though as an excellent suspense movie genre in its making – great acting from all parties involved and road-tripping that does not feel remotely Russian at any point in time!
