#TheContractor directed by Tarik Saleh in his English-language film debut. The film stars Chris Pine, Ben Foster, Gillian Jacobs, Eddie Marsan, J. D. Pardo, Florian Munteanu, and Kiefer Sutherland. Filming began in Europe including Fort Bragg in October 2019 and wrapped in the filming at the end of 2019.

The Contractor 2022 Movie – Storyline :

After being disbanded from U.S. Special Forces involuntarily, James Harper (Pine) decides to support his family by joining an independent contracting organization under his best friend Foster’s command and another veteran’s (Sutherland).

Review of The Contractor (2022 Movie):

Chris Pine gives an impressive performance and shows wonderful chemistry with Ben Foster; unfortunately, the plot of this movie seems oversimplified due to those unfamiliar with the industry writing their narrative based on hearsay and NYT articles and possibly (bad) imagination. This film never quite knows its intended genre: an action flick? Nope – too much drama and talking in there too; drama? Ummm no; too much action too. So it falls somewhere in between and neither genre fans would find much satisfaction here. Still, production value and casting were impressive… unfortunately, the film wasn’t quite. While enjoyable as an occasional viewing, just be wary about taking every lie as truth! With such an offending director having produced “Gitmo”, its inevitable result wasn’t much different.
